MICHIGAN DEATH RECORDS
HILLSIDE CEMETERY, GUN PLAINS TOWNSHIP, ALLEGAN COUNTY, MICHIGAN

Inscriptions copied and corrected July 1939, by Ruth Robbins Montieth

Hillside Cemetery is one mile east of the city of Plainwell. It was opened in 1867. The following
inscriptions, for the most part, are copied from graves in the old section, and do not include any later
than 1910 unless they seemed to be related to others of the earlier date on the same plot. The sub
divisions are lettered from "A" to "&" , each made up of 27 plots of 8 lots or graves. The records which
the Town Clerk has were consulted and burials noted therein but unmarked in the Cemetery are given as:
Abbott, (cr. Harriet B. d. 20 Oct 1904). Where the Cemetery record differs from or has data additional
to the inscription this is also given.

KELSO
William H. son of B. & I. 1906-1908 (cr. d. Sep 12, 1907)
